A magical first full year for me in North Wales with Sooty Tern, Green Heron, Terek Sandpiper, Glossy Ibis, Laughing Gull, American Golden Plover, Great Reed Warbler, Short-toed Lark, Buff-breasted Sandpiper, Black Scoter, Blue-winged Teal and a self-found Richard's Pipit all on my doorstep, plus meeting the great local birders. Other Welsh highlights: Leach's Petrels, Temminck's Stint, Dotterel, 3 Iceland Gulls, Barn Owl & Bittern. Well done to all the Welsh birders out there who have finished above me and all the best for 2006! |

Good to visit Wales a couple of times again! Green Heron, Hawfinch's & the Black Scoter from 2 trips! If only the GW Teal had been 100m West! Sooty Tern!!! Briliant pair of Roseates, storm P's & Black Guilli Whilst dipping the Sooty the day before! Good selection of Gulls in Aberystwyth and Waders, finches and B of P in Ceredigion. A smashing clean up of the more difficult winter sea stuff! Think youve won it this yr CJ! |
