A first effort using a hand-held Fujifilm Finepix 4700zoom through a 10 year old Opticron Piccolo scope (15x magnification). The bird was on the far side of the pool, approx 150m from the viewpoint. As with recent postings of Spoonbill on Surfbirds, the bird spent most the time roosting with its back to observers! |
