(A beautiful country with outstanding scenery and friendly people. Five days in northern Taiwan produced a list of 114 species including 12 endemic species and 30 endemic sub-species.)

South Africa (Cape Town to Port Elizabeth areas) - 10th - 26th September 2009, author Alan Miller (added October 12, 2009)
(In two-and-a-half weeks we enjoyed wonderful scenery, superb wildlife viewing, delicious food and wine and excellent hospitality. With 187 species of birds and 44 species of mammals it was an experience we can thoroughly recommended.)

(Anne and I made a September visit to Samos to experience autumn on a Greek island. We were not disappointed with good weather, delicious food, friendly people and an interesting range of birds and butterflies.)
