Eagles Rule! 306
Rainham up trumps again with Penduline Tits!Well finally Waxwings at Folkestone, Snowy Owl in Cornwall and Hooded Merganser without any rings! 27th Oct Green heron in Kent. Trip to South Africa meant I missed a few in the UK. Not worried as I added over 300 to my World List! Plus the mammals seen!On return it was a trip to Lincolnshire for the Steppe Grey Shrike and then on Sunday after a visit to friends in Folkestone - a Night Heron almost where the Green Heron had been! Willow Tit and Serin not together or the same day!Long w/e to Cornwall was glorious - weather and birds.Ortolan Bunting, RBFly, Richard's Pipit, American Wigeon and Red- eyed Vireo - plus another YB Warbler, an Azorian YLGull or is it (not counted) and a variety of other lovelies!Glossy Ibis and Fudge Duck - very nice male - still no Sabine's. Dipped or just missed a number of Mega's owing to committments.Sandpipers - Stilt, Marsh and Baird's.Common Crane's on my Kent list! Icterine Warbler (Herts)Trumpeter Finch,Terek Sandpiper and Sussex list going mega! Other highlights this year - Cley Sparrow, Pacific Diver with the BT Diver, King Eider and a stonking male Surf Scoter at Dornoch. Talons crossed for the next few days for Mainland goodies.

Pacific Diver, Brown Shrike & White-crowned Sparrow lifer's. Also eight first's in Cambs. for me of: Lapland Bunting, Red-breasted Merganser, Lesser Yellowlegs, Icterine Warbler, Buff-breasted Sandpiper, Baird's Sandpiper, Glossy Ibis & Night Heron. Five species of Shrike in five days was also fun! Other goodies include: Six species of Shrike in total, all three 'Marsh' Tern's, Red-flanked Bluetail, Waxwing (found three!), Honey Buzzard (found). Last time I will be on this as all my sightings/records are 100% definate and identity confirmed by myself when bird is viewed in the field. I refuse to 'compare' my list to anyone else that I do not know any longer after the antic's I have seen (both on here and in the field) this year. Examples: NONE of you can count Alder Fly unless you were the ones that had it in the hand and all those that ticked the Amur after you had originally entered Red-foot in your notes should be equally ashamed of yourselves!
