Trip 1998, Found the first Pied Lapwing for T&T

Eight days in July-August 2015, definitely avoiding AW and therefore scoring with Trinidad Piping Guan and all the other goodies, plus vagrants: adult Baird's Sandpiper, adult Franklin's Gull (Tobago Plantations) and a Long-billed Curlew.

Highlights: all the hummers, trogons, woodpeckers, tanagers, raptors, Southern Lapwing, Large-billed Tern, Scarlet Ibis, Oilbird, Common Potoo, Red-capped Cardinal, Fork-tailed Flycatcher, Yellow-hooded Blackbird, Yellow Oriole Latest: Red-billed Tropicbird, Red-footed Booby, Yellow-billed Tern, Red-bellied Macaw, Green-rumped Parrotlet, Striped Cuckoo (updated 2/4/07)

Great trip in 2004

Good sightings but no surprises on an independent trip out of Asa Wright

Spent 3 summers as a boy there when my father worked for Amoco Oil, spent an afternoon with Richard Ffrench at his home in Point-e-Pierre, and spent a day in Caroni Swamp watching the Scarlet Ibis come in to roost. No binoculars back then, only what I could see with my naked eye.
