Spent 3 summers as a boy there when my father worked for Amoco Oil, spent an afternoon with Richard Ffrench at his home in Point-e-Pierre, and spent a day in Caroni Swamp watching the Scarlet Ibis come in to roost. No binoculars back then, only what I could see with my naked eye.
