MADEIRAN S-PETREL (Pendeen), WILSON'S SNIPE (St Mary's), Lesser-legs (Cley), ad Bony Gull, Kentish & Dick's Pipit (all Dawlish Warren), Spot Sand (Drift), Pec Sand (Stithians Res), Pallas's W (Lower Moors), GWE (Lodmoor) best finds . Also the standard scarcer autumn seabirds, Temm Stint, Wood Sands, Caspian Gull, L Auk, Wryneck (3), Y-b Warbs (many), Serin, Quail, Capercaillie, Rosy Tern, Mealy Redpoll, Iceland Gull and Ortolan B also nice finds. Harshest situations where missed out on a find are: Great Snipe (in hide 2 hrs before), Gull-b Tern (found 4 mins before), Yank Wigeon (scanned over when it was in a dip), Bony G (was on site, though found another in autumn!) & Lesser Scaup (drove by); still, can't gumble.
