Giant and Blue-banded, Oriental Bay Owl, the Whitehead's trio, Bristlehead, etc. In October I spent a week on the Isles of Scilly with Eurasian Dotterel, Blyth's Pipit, Barred and Yellow-browed Warblers, and Rose-coloured Starling as the highlights. In early Nov I co-led a Sunbird tour to Chile with Fabrice Schmitt - all the expected specialities plus 45 King Penguins, 3 Markham's Storm-petrels, and Swallow-tailed Gull.
