Grand total of species for the trip: 161

The Numenius sp. was viewed at long distance in a heat haze, and the goatsucker Caprimulgus sp. was only seen briefy as if flew in front of our car headlamps.

MAMMALS

Opossum 2 on 19th, Everglades.
Nine-banded 10th, St. Cloud; 12th, Merrit Island.
Marsh Rabbit 22nd, Bay of Biscayne.
Grey Squirrel 6 on 11th, Alligator Lake; 16th, Corkscrew Swamp; 30 on 14th,
Lake Kissimmee State Park.
Fox Squirrel 2 on 11th next to SR-531.
Racoon 3 on 12th, Merrit Island; 2 on 21st, Everglades.
River Otter 11th, Lake Tohopekaliga.
Bottle-nosed Dolphin 12th, Merrit Island; pod of 4 on 15th, Bowman's Beach.
White-tailed Deer 4 on 13th & 14th, Lake Kissimmee; 19th, Everglades.

Also, American Alligator was seen daily.

BUTTERFLIES

A good number of butterfly species were on the wing, but unfortunately we had no field guide, however, the following three were confirmed: Giant Swallowtail, Zebra Longwing and Common Buckeye.
