CONCLUSION
Nepal is a poor country by western standards, but it's people are hard working and continue through adversity to have a smile. With the increase in population and continued economic development, comes the inevitable pressures on the countryside. Good natural habitats are being lost in the Kathmandu valley and along the new road from Kathmandu to the south of the country. The obvious signs, are the deforestation of the hills around Kathmandu, as they strive to create more farm land, in which to grow crops and feed themselves.
Nepal lived up to all my expectations, in both the people, scenery, habitat, wildlife and birds, another excellent trip made all the more enjoyable by the lack of nasty surprises or illness and of course Howard's and Alan's company.
