Work trip performed between November 14 and 19, 2009, to Orlando (Florida, USA). Although I did not have too much time for tourism, I could enjoy doing some birding in gardens, and in small ponds and lakes that appear elsewhere. It is sorprising the great abundance of egretts, herons and anhingas, that even can be seen walking though streets. In the last day I did an small hike in a wooded area, close to International Drive Blvd., containing also a small marsh with dense vegetation, in which I could see some mammals and aligators. The complete description, together with maps, and pictures can be seen in http://arodris.blogspot.com/2009/11/noviembre-2009-estados-unidos-orlando.html

I moved in four different areas. The first one was in Westwood Blvd., a street containing big gardens, and small ponds, with a small wooded area, where I could see, in addition to several passerines, anhingas, cormorants and great egrets. I enjoied very much in the area around the lake in Downtown Disney, where I could see egretts, herons, white ibises, limpkins, and also a red-shouldered hawk, passerines, and Quiscalus species. The third area was in the north shore of Little Sand Lake and in the Spring Lake, containing egrets, white ibises, herons, and a brown pelican. Finally, east to the International Drive Blvd. there is a wooded area, which you can reach by several unpaved tracks. It is difficult to move there due to dense vegetation, but there is a path parallel to an electric line that you can follow. I could observe there, in addition to anhingas and herons, 3 northern racoons and white-tailed deers.
