Banding Trip - October 16th
I started off at the Nature Center, near the Rio Grande River. I met up with Ms. Lee and Ms. Nikki and we walked to the banding station. When we got there I went off on a round with Ms. Nancy, Raymond and Michael. After we got back I got to release a few birds. The neatest one was probably the Ruby-crowned Kinglet, so tiny. I saw a Spotted Towhee, American Coot, Canada Goose, Red-winged Blackbird, Downy Woodpecker, House Finches, Song Sparrows and White-crowned Sparrows. Overall, the trip was amazing.

Today I only got to say for about an hour and ten minutes, but I saw some great birds to add to my life list. The best one was, by far, the Harris's Sparrow, which they haven't banded in a few years. A great find! It was a male. I also saw a Belted Kingfisher and a Summer Tanager with brilliant coloring.
